미엘은 프랑스어로 ‘꿀’이란 뜻입니다.
꿀을 발라두고 자꾸만 찾아가는 곳, 농축된 에너지의 근원인 벌집처럼 모두 각자의 꿈과 의미를 가지고 열심히 일하며 드나드는 곳.
그 동안 모두가 꿀벌처럼 애썼습니다. 혀끝에서 알싸하게 녹아퍼지는 아카시아 꿀도, 꿀벌들이 열심히 윙윙거리며 만들어내는 육각형의 작은 우주도 미엘에는 없지만 주방에서 음식 내음이 흘러나오고, 홀에서 커피 향과 음악이 어우러져 나른한 오후 햇살에 녹아들 때 —
짜릿한 성취감과 설레임,
그 동안의 불안감과 고생마저도 전부 달콤하게 느껴질지 모릅니다.
At gallery cafe miel, we not only serve great food, beve-
rage and wine, we also exhibit artworks and installations within the space
and sell products from time to time that are created by the exhibiting
artists or the curator/desig-
ner of miel collaborated with
studio FNT, miel's designa-
ted graphic design firm. Selling and
purchasing things other than food all do happen here, and miel
has become a great source of inspiration for others of similar
sort.
For this dynamic aspect, miel has established its reputat-
ion
of being versatile and culturally hybrid since its grand opening in
May, 2007.
